What OIR-B1-1802 Rev. 04/26 is

OIR-B1-1802 is the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation’s Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form. Rev. 04/26 is the edition adopted for inspections on or after 1 April 2026 under Rule 69O-170.0155, F.A.C. The form is not a home-inspection report, not a roof-engineering letter, and not a promise that any carrier will write or keep a policy. It is a structured record of what a qualified inspector observed on the dwelling: building-code path, wind region, roof slope, coverings, deck and roof-to-wall attachment, geometry, sealed roof deck / secondary water resistance, opening protection, and (when present) a FORTIFIED Home certificate. The inspector signs. The homeowner attests. WindMit Writer does not attest for either of you.

Who is supposed to fill it

Florida Statute §627.711 is the mitigation-form statute. The person who completes the inspection has to already be a qualified inspector under that statute — typically a DBPR-licensed home inspector (Fla. Stat. §468.8313 / HI 0401) or another license type the statute already names. WindMit Writer is built for that licensee. It is not built for a homeowner who wants to self-certify, and it is not built for a carrier desk.

What Rev. 04/26 changed in practice

Inspectors who still have Rev. 01/12 muscle memory should not mix the two. Rev. 04/26 is the live worksheet for jobs on or after 1 April 2026. If FLOIR publishes a newer revision later, the live edition is whatever FLOIR is hosting that day — not whatever PDF is still in a truck folder. We map our job sheet to the published Rev. 04/26 sections. We do not reprint the official six-page layout in this product’s source, and we do not silently fall back to Rev. 01/12.

Photographs the published form already asks for

The published form requires at least one photograph or document for each attribute you mark in questions 2 through 9. That is an OIR requirement on the form, not a WindMit upsell. In our job sheet, a photo slot is tagged to a question (“this file belongs to Q5”). The software does not look at the picture and pick “clips” versus “single wraps” for you.
