What WindMit Writer will not do

WindMit Writer copies the published OIR-B1-1802 (Rev. 04/26) and a 4-point worksheet. You check the boxes from what you saw on site. We do not interpret the Florida Building Code, we do not advise roof-to-wall or opening-protection choices, and we cannot say whether Citizens or any carrier will accept a job.

That sentence is not marketing. It is the product limit. If a ticket, chat, or in-app note asks us to cross it, we refuse with this page — we do not “just this once” become a Citizens desk, a code consultant, or an engineer of record.

Not Citizens advice

We do not know whether Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, or any admitted or surplus carrier, will accept a particular 1802 or 4-point file. Acceptance is a carrier underwriting decision. It depends on their rules that day, the rest of the application, and facts we never saw. Putting “will they take this?” next to a checkbox would be a lie with your license number on it. We will not add a Citizens-accepts flag, a discount estimator, or a “this usually passes” hint.

Our 4-point PDF is our worksheet. Florida has no single statewide statutory 4-point form. We do not brand it as a Citizens form. Details: OIR-B1-1802 and the 4-point worksheet.

Not Florida Building Code opinions

Question 1 on the published 1802 asks which building-code path applies, including HVHZ / SFBC-94 language the form already prints. You pick A, B, C, or D from what you verified on site (year built, permit date, and the rest the form calls for). We will not tell you what the Florida Building Code “really means” for this house, which edition governed a 1994 permit, or whether a later addition flipped the answer. That is code interpretation. It is outside a job-sheet product.

Not roof engineering

Questions 5 and 6 ask for the weakest roof-deck and roof-to-wall attachments you observed. Question 9 asks for the weakest opening protection. Those are field observations with the form’s own A–I / chart letters. They are not a structural calculation, a “this clip is good enough in 150 mph,” or a recommendation to upgrade. If you want an engineer, hire an engineer. If you want a FORTIFIED evaluation, use IBHS’s process. Do not type that question into WindMit Writer and expect a design answer.

What we still will do

Keep the Rev. 04/26 map current when FLOIR changes the published form. Store the job you typed. Tag photos to questions 2–9. Enforce the monthly caps. Emit the two worksheets plus the official blank when FLOIR’s download works. Sign-in codes, Polar receipts, JSON export, account delete. Those are closeable by support. Refunds, legal, and anything that would break this fence go to a human.

If that list is the job you actually sell, here is the $49/month fit. If you need someone to tell you what to mark, this is the wrong vendor — on purpose.
